Release Details

Big Beat Sundays is proud to welcome Sonale to our fold as he releases his first EP with the label. The Nutty Cluster EP brings a mixture of sample driven and remix tinged goodness to the 4 track release.
Influences can be heard from infamous Big Beat bad boys, Bentley Rhythm Ace, as well as from the Athletico Records family, delivering an infectious pumping collection of earworms that makes you think “have I heard this before?” before realising that you haven’t, it’s just so damned good you wish you had found it sooner.

Opening the EP is ‘Soulfinger’ which oozes swagger with its guitar licks, funky bassline and cheeky 303 stabs that would make anyone with a pulse move.

Next up is ‘The Old One-Two’ which brings together horns, surf guitars, quirky sound fx, flute riffs, scratch samples and vocal hooks. A smorgasbord of Big Beat influences in one track

‘S’express’ is Sonale’s homage to the 80’s pop giants. His unmistakable funky swagger is dripping all over this track. Horns, horns and more horns, alongside bubbly synths and groovy beats…Bring on the cowbell!

Rounding off the EP is ‘Thank God For PCP’ comes with its own story of misheard lyrics to a classic soul tune, no prizes for guessing what it is! The 303 returns, alongside some well selected samples to make this a toe tapping and booty shaking modern day Big Beat banger.
